We have a responsibility to provide a safe working environment. Gort Medical Centre will not tolerate any abusive, disrespectful, or aggressive behaviour towards any of our staff. Such occurrences will result in a permanent withdrawal of medical services and offenders will be removed from our panel.

NOTICE

Over recent months, we have received an overwhelming number of emails from patients and nursing homes looking for medical advice, diagnosis, or appointments. This is not safe or sustainable.

From the 17th of November 2025, Gort Medical Centre will no longer action or respond to any medical or appointment related emails. Only repeat prescription requests for ongoing medications, already approved by your doctor, will be accepted by email.

All other matters, including new symptoms, requests for tests or scans, or nursing home updates must be phoned through to reception so they can be properly triaged and dealt with safely.
