Dr. Richard Joyce
Dr. Richard Joyce is a 1981 NUIG Graduate. Having completed the Cork GP Vocational Training Scheme in 1985 he then returned to join Drs. Paddy & Mona Joyce in their Practice which they founded in 1956. Dr. Joyce has special interests in dermatology, orthopaedic medicine, paediatrics and preventative medicine. Dr Joyce was a co-founder of Galway Hospice in 1986 and served as Chairman for many years. Dr. Joyce also serves as the Coroner for Galway East.
Dr. Dearbhla Fadden
Dearbhla is a graduate of University College Galway and joined Gort Medical Centre in 2001. Her special interests include women’s health encompassing contraceptive care and menopause management, paediatric health, preventative medicine and chronic care medicine. Dearbhla is a certified LARC (long acting reversible contraception) provider and tutor.
Dr. Gillian Keaveney
Gillian graduated from University College Galway. She joined Gort Medical Centre in 2003. Her special interests include geriatric medicine and chronic disease management, women’s health and paediatrics.
Dr. Crea Gallagher
Crea graduated from NUIG in 2003. She completed a 4 year Irish Vocational General Practice Scheme, finishing in 2010. She has a Diploma in Medicine of the Elderly (RCPI 2007), a Diploma in Women’s Health (RCPI 2005), a Diploma in Child Health (RCSI 2004) and an Irish Family Planning Certificate (2008), including MIRENA insertion and subdermal implantation. She is also a GP and medical student trainer. Her areas of special interest include chronic disease management, care of the elderly, paediatrics and reproductive health.
Dr. James Harte
James Graduated from University of Limerick Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (Graduate Entry) Medicine Programme. He completed a 4 year Irish Vocational General Practice Scheme finishing in 2022. He has a level 1 Substance Abuse Certificate and also holds a degree in Industrial Engineering. He has a special interest in neonatology and paediatrics.
Dr. Susan Carroll
Susan is a dedicated family medicine physician with a passion for women’s health and paediatrics. With a strong background in primary care, she provides comprehensive services to patients of all ages. Her expertise includes obstetrics and gynecology, menopause, family planning, prenatal care and paediatrics. She actively trains and mentors future General Practitioners.
